Nice one. Did you need to balance the fan at all or just use it straight from the box?

SiG,

I did balance the blades, always do... Never believe in the ads "dynamically balanced", take some hours to do, but it its necessary.

Very nice! Looks like it will be fast if that was only 60% and also looked like the gear stayed down the whole flight!

swps,
The gear stayed down the whole flight.... usually in maiden flights i let the gear down, just for safety.

Congratulations on the maiden, you do amazing work I take it your web site showing your building techniques is not working? I would love to see more info on your bending process. I flew my "little" Habu yesterday, they sure are a great flying jet

You really astound me more with every new plane you make! You should offer classes, or let a less gifted rc-er walk through it with you building - I know if I lived closer, and you offered this, I'd do it in a heartbeat! After a few years of botched builds, I am coming to the conclusion that experience, and mistakes, are a part of the process, but after that you need talent - and this is something many people, myself included, do not. I would never have been able to imagine this, let alone cutting all the parts out, and building it. There are some VERY gifted modelers in this forum! And you are right up there with the best!
(Ever sell a model on commission? I have a few favorite jets that aren't' produced by anyone, and some ideas I'd like to see come to fruition. Or just own one of your pieces of art!

You should kit that edf glider, it's ridiculously better than the few on the market. Or post the plans ;-)
