That's brilliant. Can you tell us a bit more about how you made the canopy and the mould for it? What's the ducting like inside this jet?

Si Goodchild,

I is a little bit hard to tell how i do it, but the basic ideia is cut the canopi shape in a block of white foam, sand it, glass it, then cover with a hard mass and sand it again. After that, i use a vacuun forming machine to do the canopi... i will take some pics from the process on the next jet.

CoolerByTheLake,

The site is down for now. And i will post the electronic specs for you.

stingeragents,

Canopy made from coke bottles are great but only in small jet scale . Building the big canopy you have to use a larger mold and a larger vaccum forming machine.

Thank's Bidule, but i think i have a lot to learn...

bibblybob You owe it to yourself to check out his foam bending videos. Good stuff. In my way of thinking, by being able to incorperate nice flowing curves, and rounder fuses, (not box type) you gain a great deal of strength

Just wish I didn't have to wait so long to watch them. Just put in fiber optics for our area, but having some issues with it. Currently only have 1.5meg, which is running at dial up speed-It really sucks!!! Can't wait for the 12meg.

yes, there are deffinite advantages to a rounded, monoqoque structure over a box structure.

humbertomelo You have done a surperb job! I was courious on the fiberglassing. How many sqyd/sq meter of cloth? What cloth weight did you use? and how much extra weight did it add up to?

Also, which fan/motor, and batterise will you be using.
TIA, Mark

CoolerByTheLake, thank's

In small jets 1m^2 of fiber cloth is enought, i used about 2m^2 for this big habu. The fiberglass cloth weight is 110g /m^2 . I think the fiberglassing added about 1kilo or 1,5 kilos ( fiber + resin).

Electronics specs:

Edf changesun 12 blades
Motor Het typhoon 1100kv
12s, 40c lipo
ubec 8a
