I need some heavy duty horns to install on habu, but i hate buy expensive horns, so i decide to build them. I take my precious blank copper plate an cut 2 small fiber glass parts and voila a heavy duty horn! great!

This is pretty slick, you have some excellent fabrication skillz my friend. I'd like to see a little more detail on the construction if you have time, maybe how you fold the wings, do they have ribs, etc? I have always wanted to build a very large EDF and this would be a great way to do it very light...

The wings have a main tube glued inside the foam core, and a larger size tube glued in to a fuselage, just slide the main wing in to fuselage and align the pins to lock in place. No ribs, because the wing it is a solid foam glassed in both sides.

Thanks for the pictures! So do you crease or put a cut in the back side of the foam when you bend it, does it need heat or anything to curve that tight (leading edge)? Also, what glue are you using for all the foam?

Jack the cores are cut using a wire and bow method from a square block of white foam. they can then be laminated for strength and prepared for operation. You can either order pre-cut foam wing cores with your desired air foil, or cut them yourself. I would think that Humbertomelo, cut them himself using a heated wire string. Those wings are not depron...

P. Richards are right, i use a hot wire and bow method to cut the wing from a square block of white foam (medium density), also i use a regular epoxi glue (5-10min to cure) for all parts.

Today i finished the canopy mold and did a cristal PVC canopy on vacuum forming machine. The electronics are almost done! I think i can do the maiden on next saturday...Let's see.
