Has anyone changed one the stock trnsmitters from mode 1 to mode II? A friend got one and he will never be able to learn on mode 1....I seem to remember someone converting it but it took some soldering....because it;s all on a board.

I tried googling it but got no good hits...

Anyone know how to do it?

I about wore out my 949 before I woke up about this fact and it wasn't learned with my 949..

If you blind and launch off a non level area,, it will want to fly non level..! In other words it will take off down the road as what it sees as level flight was set by the blind/ gyro time on a non level area.. They just don't fly worth a darn like this..

I built a 600mm quad,, and felt I had it all dialed in and the last 2 times up it would hover like a champ.. One morning my driveway was muddy so launched off the side yard with about a 4% slope.. Just about wrecked my large quad with this mistake as level to it was not anywhere near a level hover mode..

Just got my V949 and from reading all the great post I added some GW/EP5443 blades. Unfortunately the shipper messed up sent me 4 CCW and 4 CW blades but they are all black blades. I waited almost a month for them to show up.
Is there a US vendor that sells Orange GW/EP5443 blades?

Does it look to you that the heavy blade is the one with the #s printed on it?
Mine turned out that way. On one of them I took some fine sandpaper and sanded those raised numbers off. It seemed to make a difference, easier to balance.

Mines have both, so doesn't matter where the numbers are.

Yes. The number side has always been the heavy side for me.

It's consistent enough that I simply cut three pieces of 1cm Kapton tape. Stack them on top of each other and put them right next to the GWS letters.

It balances every time.

Then just trim off the excess the protrude past the blades.

Wow I could not believe how out of balance they are. I trimmed the first one but after seeing how much shorter it made the blade I went to adding tape. I must of took off 3/8 to 1/4 inch (5 to 10mm). And yes the GW5443 side is the heavy side.

Wow, I have to say, that I'm really astonished how bad these props are balanced. I've seen many rotors, also a lot of cheap chinese crap, but never some which were consistently that far off balance.
Seems like they have some serious problems in the manufacturing of these...

OK, I've now tested on all 12 props that arrived, which side is the heavier one. And it was always the side with the numbers on it.
I'm wondering if maybe already the cast mold has been produced uneven, so that all rotors have this problem.
I really cannot believe, that just due to production tolerances, such consistent high weight differences can occur. At least a mold is a mold!
Maybe I'm wrong, but seems like there's some real quality problem there.

I just got my V949, which was intended to be used as a FPV-gear from Banggood.

As I saw, there were some problems in the beginning with the props being bent.
But now, they have a new package, where this cannot happen so likely anymore.
Additionally they tape the props together, so that they cannot move anymore.
So this is positive news.

Unfortunately it's that cheap tape, where the glue remains, when you take it off, which is really unfortunate (you can see the glue remains on the pic).
they should use a different tape for that.
Additionally, it seems my package got some severe punching during the shipping, and the result is a broken leg...

BTW: In my manual it is indicated, that there will be a new third version V929, which also has a LED on each leg side for night flying.

Edit: Ah, from the description I just realized that they mean the V969,v979,v989,v999. The new ones with all kind os tuff on it (blubble blower, water squirter, missiles, etc..)
