Its a red JST connector, like the ones that thunderpower uses. Saw one at a hobby shop, looks great! All the design details in this airplane makes it stand out!

Here are my thoughts and experiences,,,, this gona be loooong!! Sorry!!
So the short review : WOW , WOW and WOW!!!!!! First the good: excellent slow speed handling , very good float,,, good power , not fantastic but good, superior handling, very precise and very neutral,, the negatives : could use just a bit more power and speed in my opinion, doesn't handle the wind as well as Sbach V2. I hooked up ailerons on separate channels, set up radio for flapperons. Read about a 3d flapperon function that I wanted to try,, mixed flapperons with elevator so that with up elevator I got ailerons both going up reflexed used a 60% mix,, what this seemed to do at least from what I could tell was give the plane more stability in slow high alpha maneuvers,, found it especially helpful on landings in windy turbulent conditions , enabled me to very easily settle her in extremely smoothly without much effort,, slows her down and allows you to hold nose up without floating in ground effect,, just settles right in, kills glide angle too works great!!
I found my knife edges very very easy to hold, even high apha knife edges and knife edge loops weren't a problem,, I found hovering very easy with this plane. I'm using Zippy compacts 500mah 35c ( 48g) right at front wall gave me CG at 43mm back seemed about right. Flew the edge and SBach side by side one after another,, Sbach on 3S faster and more vertical power than edge,, radar clocked both : edge about 40mph, Sbach on 3s about 47 ,,, but,,, edge definately more floaty better at slow speed, more crisp and precise,, edge has waaaaaaay more visibility and presence in the air. As a side note my 300 powered e flite zero on 3s was radar clocked at 57mph upwind and 64mph downwind,, but it has a 7x6 prop, higher aspect ratio wing, thinner airfoil, and no landing gear. But I LOVE the edge overall,, think it'll be a GREAT 3D trainer for me,, very easy to fly but has great aerobatic capability ( more than I'm capable of currently ) think HH has hit a BIG home run here!!
My one tiny wish would be for just a little more oomph in vertical,,,although its not tooooo bad stock. Maybe a little bigger prop???
What can I say???

Motor/ESC & 4S!!!!

Mine was shipped today.

Here's some weight measurements I thought should be posted, thunder power 3s 45c 325mah weighs 34g, stock prop 2.9g, apc 7x4E 8.4g, apc 7x3.8 slow fly 6.9g and a 2mm adapter 5.4g. I will have the watt test results from the apc props in a few minutes.

thanks for info, very curious how the props wil work out.

GWS has some rubber prop adapters that go in thier props that weigh next to nothing--how well they work I shall find out.

Are you planning on swapping out to bigger motor on 4S or just a bigger ESC, or both?? Someone earlier tested stock set up at 9.9 amps , and someone else mentioned they had burned out a 280 on 4S, and in the Eflite zero thread some have mentioned that they smoked the 300 motor on 4S as well. I'm guessing with stock prop it should pull somewhere around 180 watts on 4S,,, YIKES!!! That's about 340watts/lb,, an insane amount of power!! Could be fun. :-)
I'm just wondering though, if just a bigger higher pitched prop might not be a little easier though

I'm going to test a bunch of 3S batts in her first.

New motor & esc before I go to 4S land.

Does the airframe look strong enough to you for 'insane'??

Away for a bit, did I miss them or has there only been 1 flight video posted by new owners of this plane? (A good video though!)

Just looking to see more of us mere mortals flying this plane. (Probably an academic point, as I am almost 100% certain I am buying it as soon as it arrives here in the LHS!)

I'm not a great pilot and I can fly it pretty easily!!! Don't wait on this one!! Just DO it!!! You won't regret it!!
If your not quite sure flying it at first, start on low rates,, it IS extremely responsive
