Matt is still in there.
Can't see him?? I don't think he can see out either

remove decals ?

I want to remove the little decals "540QQ" from the side of the fuse. I assume these would be water decals similar the numbers which we have to add.
I will make water on the decals and wait a time...hope I can remove them

By the time I get the batteries I should have figured out how to set up the model on the new DX7S. LOL

Edge 540qq 280 Travel Box

I built a cardboard box around the styrofoam that came with the original shipping packaging.

I cut some slots for the wings and repositioned the fuselage hold down piece.

The plane lives safely in my trunk for flying anytime.

Just a heads up for you guys. I noticed when I grabbed spinner, motor seemed a little wiggly. So took off prop and cowl and discovered motor mount was in its slot in foam but NOT glued in,, so I hot glued it in,, now flys better than ever,, think it has been a little loose from day one. So just something to watch for,, fortunately an easy fix. :-)

Took some stuff out for lunch to experiment with new keychain cam I picked up.

The Edge handled it like it was nothing

Logo 400, ASbach3X, and Edge 540QQ.

Watch in HD!

Some R/C aircraft onboard video. (6 min 39 sec)

Nice video! I rigged up a mounting bracket for my Edge out of some small aluminum rod CA'd to the receiver hatch (bought a spare). The 808 camera is held on by a rubber band and can be mounted in either direction.

How did you mount the camera on the Sbach and Beast? I would like to get some video on my beast.

Here's some video I got on the Edge over the weekend. It's got some vibrations that show up at certain RPM's but turned out pretty good. Just balanced the motor so I'm hoping that will help.

Edge 540QQ (6 min 37 sec)

Finally got mine in today. I just dont have a RX for my Futaba radio. I do have a DX5. But I bet it will be twitchy! I might attempt it! Might have to make a hobby store run for a rx and a new prop....Gotta find out what works best for this plane.

Looks like I will need to get one of these, too!

215 pages already - could someone please summarize the following:

Preferred throws - will this need modified length servo arms - if so which ones?

How does the plane handle with the throws shown in the manual?

Is everyone still having the minor quality problems (loose motor mounts, etc.)?

What is the preferred prop?

I been reading that the CG needs to be moved farther back than the manual states.
Does anyone have a neutral CG number for me?

Any other mods or issue I need to know about?

Thanks for your help!
Can't wait for it to arrive.

Turnerm - Great videos, as usual!
Curious - how would you compare this to the TH Edge or Crack-Yak?
This thing looks like a handful, comparitively speaking.

First of all you have to check the complete "Green Machine" (every screw)
You can use the throws in the manual and after this, you can find your own setup. Classic aerobatics and 3D need her own setup- you can handle these with a switch.
GWS7035 will fit perfect
CG depends from the lipo pack
... think you should make a short overview in this thread, it's hard, but there are many good advices for you.
