I have the 48in wingspan Kyosho Red Bull edge 540,, its a bit underpowered on 3s , and battery compartment is kinda funky,, but other than that flys ALOT like this little edge. Maybe I should rehab it with a light 4S battery and a higher amp ESC . It looks waaay cool in the air. :-)

I'd think the bubble wrap would slow it down a whole bunch and it seems like it would fly better without it. But it should be durable this way.

clean compartment

..cleaned my lipo compartment and now it's possible to fly lightest lipo packs.
It was a little bit tricky to guide the wires and connectors through the plane but with some tricks it was not a real challenge.

hello guys, im new to this forum and to model aircraft as well, i been flying for about a month and a couple of days (basicaly every day) i recently bought an edge 540 and while i belive it flies great with a 7043 gws prop, after a couple of seconds in flight i can feel diminished performance, it basicaly looses its top end for some reason. i can get about 6 min of flying time on some hyperion 450mah 25c so it dosent seem to be the efficiency, i also tried a different battery power edge 450mah 30c and it feels about the same. is there any way to fix this? or is this a park280 kind of thing. i ordered a 12amp ESC from HK to see if that made a difference. any input would help

Might be a loose prop, or the shaft is slipping? This is what i would check, hope this works for u

7043 is probably too much prop. Isn't that a slo-fly prop also? If it is, it's likely it's way too much. Most are finding the 7x35 (not slofly) to be the best combo so far.

Edit: what prop do you have, I checked and couldn't find a 7043 in either gws or apc. GWS did have a 8043 slo fly, which would be beyond the point of over propped with this combo. The slow fly props are made to turn much lower rpm's and have huge blade sizes in comparison to regular electric props.

Yes, you want a 7035dd prop not a 7043

Well just got mine everything looks and works good! Hopefully I can go fly it this weekend! Only thing that was a pain was getting the wings on.... not gonna be taking them off! Also, downloaded the program off HH for my dx8 so that was simple! I also like that the servos are quiet quite a change from the 180s.
