eflite 450 30c 450 42.5g
zippy compact 500 35c 57g
gens ace 450 25c 53g
nanotech 460 25c 45g
thunderpower 480 25c 42g
thuderpower 730 25c 57g

so rc, as you mentioned last week, your 3s lightend hyperion babblebatt would be a great idea
So does this mean the Zippy compacts at 57g will make her slightly nose heavy???

Simple!

Those massive surface throws in the vid, make me want to shout with joy.

Thanks Quique!!

Something tells me QQ has done a great job at striking the optimum balance between weight, speed, and maneuverability.

Even if it you could eek in more punch without significant weight penalty, I doubt those 3.5g servos could handle much more force. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to your experiments

I think the 57gram listed is shipping weight. If you look at the battery specs it shows 47 grams including wires and connectors. Hard to say if either are really accurate.

Batt's

Here is the weight of the HK variety.

Nano 3cell 460mah - 42.1
Zippy 3 cell 500mah - 43.1

Although the photos don't show it the balance and JST leads are in the air and being weighed by the scale

I've been using these Glacier packs in different sizes (3s2200s and 2s 450s) and they've been really good. Plus being local I can pick them up and save shipping. He's also opening a warehouse in Columbus to be able to carry more stock and different sizes.

These are out of stock right now but:

I don't believe the Zippy 35c rating. I have had several Zippy, Turnigy, and Nanotech (Not the new A-spec NanoTech's) and I've found them to be less punchy than Gens, Glacier, and Thunderpower. Also I have 4 Turnigy packs right now that had to have at least one of the balance leads reattached. I quit buying them, poor quality and poor performance compared to GensAce. Plus if you spend $50 at Hobbypartz you get free shipping. I've spent extra for EMS at Hobbyking several times and it still takes them so long to pack everything that the time I would have saved on getting an item was blown up by them taking 10 or more days to actually pack the item and ship it. To each their own though.

+1! I love the gens ace! I haven't tried the glaciers yet but have heard that they are just as good.
