Most excellent! That's definitely the coolest thing anyone has done to an MV! Looked like a big insect skimming the water. It appeared that skin-effect was holding it down a bit. Was that the case? It also appeared to be very stable on the water - even when you were making tight turns at speed. Care to share the design details?

I could ROW from the puddle that always forms down the street after a hard rain.

It would actually break free from the water pretty easily (and quickly), I just like long run offs Both the Mini and the regular Vapor handle very well on these floats, never hooked an edge during take off or landing, pretty stable.

Here's the original floats, and I've uploaded a .pdf of the version I used on the MV

Watch out for any hungry Largemouth Bass in the area,

Even a large smallmouth bass could eat a plane this size!

That is a super video Nick...You are pretty daring to fly over water like that..My luck I would dunk it an blow the electronics.

Thanks guys I do wonder about fish, or turtles, or even snakes, it wouldnt take much to tip it over.

I sank my night Vapor once before, everything was submerged for at least a few seconds. I just unplugged it as quickly as possible and soaked the RX with WD40 and let it dry in the sun for a few hours. It was good as new. I've dunked a few others in the lake, if you cut the throttle and get off the sticks before it hits the water, it usually works out ok...though I've burnt an RX or ESC or two

Fresh water is *usually* going to be ok. Don't try it on the sea though

I highly recommend the MV to anyone who wants to fly circuits in the house. I surely enjoy mine. Flying figure-eights in the living room and shooting touch & gos on the coffee table is a lot of fun!

Yeah it sure is a lot of fun! I fly mine in the basement where I can do fairly large circuits from one corner to the other.

When I was buying the MV, my LHS only had the RTF in stock. I was tempted to get a spitfire or mosquito instead because they were the same price. However since it's winter outside I want something I can fly now so I got the MV.

Hi,
does anybody know a safe way to detach the wing/stab without damaging? I'd like to use the fuse and electronics for another project, but will keep the wing/stab for future use. Probably a solvent to soften the glued joints?
