Poll
Our All-Time Favorite and Most Reliable RC Vendor For 2012

I have compiled the names of your favorite RC vendors in this thread here and on two other forums; 3DRC and Flying Giants. I figured that would give us a well rounded snapshot of our most favorite and reliable RC vendors.

If your favorite did not make the list I apologize for that. No one posted their name.

You guys have picked a total of 79 different RC vendors. So now it is time to pick your overall favorite. I know some stores sell different items so that is why I am setting this poll up for multiple choices. I didn't want to short change a company that sells only videos like HP productions over a store that sells servos and Txs like Servocity.

Here is the list of stores and links to them.

Feel free to vote and after 60 days, let's see who comes out on top. Should be fun and interesting to see the results.

Frank

After an afternoon of voting, I am not surprised that HeadsUp RC is leading. I remember when they first started selling RC products. They did it right that is for sure. Good products, fair prices, cheap shipping and fantastic customer support.

I'm not sure how that was not picked. I totally missed it and would have asked about it myself if I caught it.

Here is another company that was overlooked along with 3DHobbies. Liposack: http://www.liposack.com/

I have made sure they are included here though: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1751689

I want to say "good one" and throw one of these in there but I'm not sure if you are joking or not.

And I always say, "if you have to explain the joke, it is not funny."

Sorry.

How can you have an accurate poll of RCGroup's all-time favorite and most reliable RC vendor if you don't include every RC vendor?

Surely if you believe HobbyKing is not anyones favorite, you should feel safe to add it to the poll because nobody will vote for it.

This "poll" is a joke.

"Hey, lets start a poll for your favorite presidential candidate! The options are, Mitt Romney, Gary Johnson, and Jill Stein. The other ones are a joke"

I also noticed you included HobbyPartz - how is this any different? HobbyKing has a USA warehouse, who employs US citizens. HobbyPartz does the same thing - they import from overseas and re-sell as a middleman in the USA.

What do you mean? I did include every single vendor. Look here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1751689

So when coming up with this list, HobbyKing was never mentioned and you didn't remember it?

I have a feeling you chose not to put HobbyKing on the list on purpose.

About 75 orders with Tower hobbies over the last 20 years... never once had a problem that couldn't be solved with a phone call. They may not sell all of the best products, nor have the best prices, but they've been a solid supplier for a long time.

I can tell you have strong emotions about HK.

Here is the criteria for the vendors in that list that was posted in that thread which gleanded the lost above.

"When I need something RC related and can't find it at my LHS, I am going to those places above and placing an order. Those are my no kidding places to order from and I know the order will be ship right away and I know if there are any problems with the order I can pick up the phone or email them and they will promptly "make it right."

This [is] the key to this thread. These are your 100% trusted online stores. These stores are the ones you would send family and friends to without one single moment of hesitation. "

I'm sorry HK was not included within that criteria by your peers.

I'm more shocked and surprised that 3DHobbies was inadvertently left off the list. I'd expect more outcry about that. But it looks like those guys understand.

HK was included, but you chose to ignore the post.

I trust HK 100% completely. They have never scammed me or ripped me off, I got exactly what I expected from them.

So why did you choose not to add it to the list?

Just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean everyone had a bad experience with them.

This was the thread that those companies above were taken from. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1751689

One guy mentioned HK was his "last resort" so to me that meant that it was not his most trusted and reliable source so it was not inlcuded. Plain and simple. I had nothing to do with it.

I have already apologized that your peers did not include HK in that survey. I'm not sure what else I can say to you about it.

Stop attempting to say "sorry your peers did not ask for it". YOU don't like HobbyKing, it is blatantly obvious from your "Buy locally" thread and everything else you say. HobbyKing is one of the largest and most popular RC retailers, we all know it and I know that you know it.

Yes you are entitled to your own opinion and your opinion is that you do not like HobbyKing, but it gets a little annoying when you attempt to create an all-time, RCgroups poll for vendors and just not happen to include HobbyKing.

It is just silly that you don't include HobbyKing and then you add some random vendors that you know aren't remotely popular. "Techi-edge"? They aren't even a RC vendor, they sell knife blades!
