The split aileron links look so much cooler than a single servo setup. I'll be using figure-4s on all surfaces along with russian z-bends on the servos. The Rods will be detachable in seconds without having to stress the servo, airframe, or control surface.
I'm going to get some black and white 32awg wire for the tail servos. I'll clip it about an 1" from the servo ends and simply insert the wire in the middle. She's not looking too bad so far. |

I took these as I was leaving so excuse the quality. The elevator servo isn't glued in yet, but that's where it will go. The rudder will be right behind it on the other side.
I may have the rear servos on the same power leads just to save a little weight. The only thing is that I would have to solder the leads if the elevator servo fails. To solve that, I can put a small connector in line near the servo. |

I will. I don't want to intrude on privacy or anything, but you two are twins right? (feel free to ignore)
It weighs 60g with four servos and upper fuse (minus glue). I still need the rudder and SFGs. I may add another piece of carbon to the top for the upper fuse, if needed. How does 80g sound so far? rx - 5g esc - 10g battery - 20g |

The VPP system isn't mine, but a friend said I can use it since he isn't using it. I has a Hacker, but I'm not sure which one. I don't think it is the A20-34S though. This was one of the original units when they sold for less than $10.
If that doesn't happen, I have an AXI 2203 (20g). Other than that, I have an AX-2205 1500kv (26g). |
