Currently the only telemetry Rx is the R7008SB

/Bo,
If you look at the screen shot of the servo speed screen, there are 8 channels listed, but up at the top there is the indication that this is screen 1 of 2, so channels 9-12 are probably on the next page. Ch 13 and 14 are not proportional, so no servo speed control possible on those two.
The way the electric retract market is going, there will not be much use for the servo slow feature anyway, since all the new electric retracts with integral motors are non-proportional, but the ones I've seen run at pretty much scale speed anyway
Pete

yip I saw that but I'm looking for confirmation that its across all aircraft types.
It was not a big deal in the 8FG and I've lived without it but I have a few nasty handling airplanes that I'd like to experiment directly with conditions, i.e my Showtime

Is there a way to connect "normal" servos to the S-bus so that I will have telemetry?

Hi,

Can You explain more what You want to be reported/displayed by telemetry in such case?

Non S.Bus servos can be used on S.Bus channel with Futaba SBD-1 S.Bus decoder:
http://www.futaba-rc.com/sbus/index.html

3 pages of S.Bus accessories can be seen here (Robbe):
http://www.robbe.de/rc-fernsteuerung...gen/s-bus.html

If You are talking about T14SG it is shipped with the FASSTest receiver R7008SB and it send telemetry data to transmitter via built in functions (receiver battery voltage, external voltage max. 70 V DC and aerial signal strength) and via external telemetry sensors connected on receiver S.Bus2 socket.

http://www.gpdealera.com/cgi-bin/wga...pgm?I=FUTL7675

Same info from Robbe (Europe):
http://www.robbe.de/empfaenger-r7008sb-fasstestr.html

PDF manual R7008SB here for example:
http://www.jetsofbergen.no/sites/def.../motaker_2.pdf
Note that they say in the manual: "Analog servos cannot be used with the R7008SB in the FASSTest 12CH mode."

Futaba/Robbe telemetry sensors that You can connect to FASSTest capable receiver on it's S.Bus2 socket:
- Extra voltage sensor
- Temperature sensor
- Vario/altimeter (low cost)
- Vario/altimeter (precision)
- GPS multi sensor
http://www.robbe.de/rc-fernsteuerung...elemetrie.html

- Atmospheric (altitude) sensor
- Magnetic RPM sensor
- Optical RPM sensor

All I need for my F3K and F5J is to use normal servos, and to have an Rx battery telemetry.
The problem is that in the F3K fuselage there is no space for the decoder.

It looks like I would have to wait until Futaba will have non S-bus receivers with telemetry

With the R7008SB receiver you still have 8 PWM (non S.Bus) channels you can use non-S.bus servos on those outputs. However, you'll save the most weight/space by installing S.Bus servos, they work really well in a sailplane. For Rx pack voltage you don't even need a senor, that information is sent directly from the receiver.

Thanks for the answer Steve,
I don't want to change all servos on all of my models (1 F5J and 4 F3K), it will cost to much and I will have to make a lot changes in my models.

Skaluf: Any update on the pre-orders? will be available a tx only option?

Why is it that the Futaba reps can confirm everything except Aero flight modes. Futaba says "The 14SG Has it all & more". Is this a lie?

You don't need a decoder with the R7008SB receiver it still has 8 PWM channels available, as well as S.Bus and S.Bus2 ports.

They can onl comment on what the factory has released and that appears to be mainly the changes between the 8FG and the 14SG. Steve will confirm the Airplane conditions extensions when he gets word from the head office in Japan
