Figured we were about due for a new radio from Futaba - after all, I just bought my 8fg last month. Haven't even had a chance to get around to using it yet either . Although I don't know that I'd have been willing to pay the premium for this over the 8fg.

Good Choice Futaba!

.
I think Low Self Discharge (LSD) NiMH is an excellent choice for Tx. It would be disappointing if on this fine new generation TX they went cheap and chose old tech cells with lousy shelf life.

no mention of "Conditions" in the spec

So its a 5cell NiMH. I guess they ran out of space in the case. No biggy, having S.bus programmer built in is a more useful feature since those are the only types of servo's I buy these days.

I like the look of the radio, but confirmation on conditions is real important me.

I think the answer will be: buy a 12FG or higher...

I think its just an omission. 8FG has conditions in Glider and heli programme menu, No way they would have deleted it from a higher spec radio...
Would like confirmation though

I suspect limitations in Conditions - must be some reasons to buy the higher end radios but to buy a 12FG/12Z/14MZ just to get the conditions (8 conditions) seems kind of buying a little outdated radio (no telemetry etc) and the jump up to 18MZ (that also has 8 conditions) is really high in the price ladder.

Well, convinced - Im in! But for some future redesign I wish for moving the onoff sw and status leds somewhere else, the L & RD next to the top switches and get the display on top front of the Tx instead.

Folks, I just received word that you should be able to pre-order 14SG's starting this weekend. Just to be clear, I'm talking about the market serviced by Hobbico (North America). Other distributors may have different plans.

I don't have a full answer to that yet. The feature list we've published is preliminary, so some changes could still happen prior to release. As we get additional information it will be published.
