I think the guy just found the right sweet spot concerning settings. The principle is the same, though some time is needed to tweak things; at least from what I inderstood, reading the Ecilop and mini650 threads (And this one too of course). I've pulled the trigger for the Glyder, by the way Hope it will meet my attempts, but I'm sure I'm gonna leave some sweat working on it (I've ordered the naked version, as I have almost all the other elements, excluding gyros, thing that I have to dig about). Thanx Fu

Can somebody tell me how can this look so much better than anything I can see on this thread, with a fraction of the price? What am i missing?
In my previous post i described how frames carrying this Gimbal concept rely a lot on the tuning skills of each operator individually plus the quality of servos / gyros are used to perform the stabilization... Also this video might been post stabilized but videos posted here are mainly RAW to give the actual results prior post. I am not saying that mini650 is not a good platform but it surely is 10 times more vulnerable since a lot of owners said the landing skids are a joke. The platform is 140 USD at the best case and is made of probably cheap carbon fiber material. I have read most of the thread for this platform prior discovering the glyder 600.

I think your platform flies great you only need to tune some gyros and it will behave better. Maybe add some more gain since it takes a bit longer to compensate... You should also look on how fast your servos are responding.

I think apart from the unknown frame.. the weather was good as well. This improves stability.

However, if you are very good and know your stuffs.. good quality shot can be obtained from the simplest and cheapest things.. like this..

spooky (1 min 13 sec)

Potain (1 min 36 sec)

This is not my video.. but another local Malaysian.
Mind you this is RAW video at 100% speed

gyro

servo
they are probably now very advanced and expensive gears, but they do the job, and also reducing ARTF and PNP version cost.

you can surely use better gyro and servos.
thanks

Sugestions:

1) Add a tool list that the builder need in order to assemble the kit. (types of screwdrivers, threadlocker etc....)
2) If threadlocker is needed indicate which parts. Usually metal to metal bolt applications.
3) On the better servo position that the photo which there is a slight mod required either include the mod or remove the statement just in case somebody does something wrong and damages the frame.
4) Make the battery plate screw able to be adjusted by hand (Maybe landing gear type screws) so that the flyer can adjust different batteries on the flying spot with ease if he needs to.
5) Indicate whether the bearings need to be glued or not in the aluminum parts.

Request... Can you provide the design of part GGB023 which is the load plate? Would like to custom made it for editing specific space for an fpv camera right beside my Nex 5 lens or maybe extend to use bigger cameras or srhink it to save space, extend the roll compensation etc... I could duplicate it of course but can't be bothered now

Overall very good and brief manual without junk info...

Apart from a good weather, good setup,
post stabilizing software is a key to get very stable video.

almost all of our demo videos are without post editting,
all raw videos,

however, by seeing video of other brands, most of them are post editted.

I have the same hexa frame in my ware house,

I don't see any vibration control mechnic on it.
so if you fly with a unbalanced propeller or motor
that will be a big problem .
on the other hand,
this doesn't happen on glyder 600.
the vibration and shock will be totally removed by the structure and shock absorbing system.
that's why it makes this frame so good.
and the material cost and stiffness of glyder 600 is maybe the best one in its kind.
thanks
Fu
