You can always try and then tell us your results... I can't express an accurate opinion since i have never had any experience with 2 axis plane stabilization systems. If it doesn't work then you can simply go with the gyros which is a sure thing.

Hi guys!!

My problems with pitch control are practically solved, It was no gyro problem as I initially thought... I connected a channel of the receiver to the Naza's X1 and adjusting a potentiometer from the Tx I got Pitch movement, I had not read anything about it (or I read it but I forgot) but finally Pitch movement is alive in my Glyder!

The trouble is that in previous tests I broke a gear (the only one that is plastic) in the Pitch servo so I have to get another similar servo in my local store...

Test video in the mirror is not quite good yet but I have a larger analog servo tied badly in the pitch so I'm not too concerned with it...

Regards!

Well i have some bad news... I crashed my glyder today... I was flying with my naza in gps hold when it decided to develop artificial intelligence and start to fly away... I had to kill motors to save the worse cause i was flying beside a not very busy main road... Dropped it from about 25-30 feet. It had a couple of rolls on the ground since it also had some forward speed... From a first look the only damage was a bended battery tray and bottom part of both landing skids is bended... Ironically it was the first flight with the gimbal on... And the best part??? I also locked my self out of the flat... My dad had to drive 1 hour to open the flat for me

I think i had enough with the naza... I am gonna give it away... Gonna start finding buyer from tomorrow... Going for the ys x4 or the x6...

Fu you sell everything individually apart the bottom part of the landing skids... My crash test showed that the vertical legs are very strong but the bottom part is very weak... Most of us will need only the bottom part on a hard landing so it would be nice if you could split the 2 parts of the landing skid to save us some money and space

Unlucky Panos sorry to hear you crashed, You must just have a bad naza, I love all my nazas and they seem to work very well. I would send it back rather than give it away.

Jim.

guys i had my glyder setup today and finally got esc and throttle calibrated with the Zero UAV YS-X6.

I mounted a gopro2 with a 2200mah 3s 25c lipo.

Upon full throttle the quad doesnt even lift! Do I require a 4s minimum?????

3S Lipo and GoPro is not too much weight ... What engines and propellers have you mounted ??

Can you provide motor specc and prop size?

You ll need atleast 11" props with a motor around the class of 850+ kv to lift your copter sufficiently with that setup... Your Glyder must comes down to about 2.3kg AUW if i am not mistaken... Mine was lifting up at about 2.7kg AUW running on 4s. It is lifting off at about 60-65% which is not that healthy... I use 690kv and 10" props but heavier battery than you... 4s 5A

nineu - Yeah that is exactly what I thought of.. gopro2 and a 2200mah is considered damn light for a 600 sized quad.. even my 450 can lift with ease.

panos - I bought the PNP version. It should already be at it's optimum / most efficient configuration (that is what I thought of)

4x T -motor 2216 KV800 motor
4x Hobbywing 30A ESC
4x 1038 Carbon Fiber Propeller (10")

I just bought a 4s, will test remaiden tomorrow.. if it's still underpowered, something must be wrong and I hope Fu can help

You need a 4s configuration that's all. My 880kv motors can lift up to 1.7kg with 10" on a 3s... Glyder weighs about 1.62kg without any elecctronics installed not getting it airborne is basically the logical situation.
