It works anywhere.

No internal storage. I saw a description somewhere (target.com I think) that suggested
the same thing. It's just wrong. I've also seen vendor descriptions claiming the H3 White
has 11MP sensor and so forth. Also wrong. For correct info go back to gopro.com
and look up the specs there.

Has anyone tested this cable or a similar cable on this new camera yet? Does it work for live A/V out?

More slow-mo.
Just Slow-mo - Hero3 Black - 120fps (0 min 59 sec)

Finding stuff to film that is fast, but not *too* fast is the trick.

Got my Hero 3 yesturday, and this is what I have found out. The USB plug is good for transferring data from your PC and to charge the GoPro. Next to the USB plug is a Micro HDMI plug. This plug works for video out. I have just tested it on live feed and no lag time, unlike my GoPro Hero HD. You could get the Micro HDMI to regular HDMI cable for $5 bucks from buy.com, couple pics of me pointing at the TV while it was live feeding. Now REadymaderc needs to make a live out plug N play for my Immersion FPV equipment.

You need a digital HDMI wireless transmitter(only 100 feet)
or a HDMI->Analog Composite converter(have tryed one, no lag, but it did make a bad picture, im sure other is better)

But the GoPro HD 3 have also Analog composite out like the others - but in the miniUSB connector(not really a miniUSB it have 5 pins + 5 pins + 1 metal frame, see the other side)

You can buy the original cable at GoPro:
http://gopro.com/camera-accessories/...omposite-cable
http://gopro.com/camera-accessories/combo-cable
http://gopro.com/camera-accessories/hero3-hdmi-cable

Think i found the 10pin male miniUSB connector at ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-set-Mini-U...item2a11e2c4bf
Just need to solder wires on it.

Anyone got a Samsung camera or phone A/V cable they can test the 10pin+frame miniUSB GoPro HD 3 with ?

The ones who sell the 10pin miniUSB connector says it used for some Samsung or Alcatel products and other.

Canon used 11pin+frame connectors, and they don't seem to fit.

At work today I decided to find out when retail locations would be getting the GoPro 3s in, and low and behold my old favorite forum RC Groups was on the top of the search list. Then how I find out best buy had early shipments of these babies, so I call best buy near work with no luck on the black edition. After work I decide to drive to the best buy anyways. No blacks in stock in the back, but ended up finding an open box in stock through the computers. Sticker said no damage, no missing accessories. All the accessories and batteries were steal sealed, So I bought it... FOR $60 bucks cheaper than the msrp. Long story short I paid for 1 year of warranty seeing that I'll be doing some FPV and could use some water damage insurance flying over the beach. But in the end even with insurance I paid less than the msrp... GOOD DEAL! Thanks you guys. Picture proof attached.
Lucky bastard $339 I searched all my best buys here in Central FL and I could not find any Black Edition

I found non-hardware accelerated VLC pretty hopeless at playing stuff like 1080p@60fps and 720p@120fps and 2.7K.
Windows Media Player can sometimes do , but not always.
Went looking for an alternative and came up with Media Player Classic Home Cinema
Out of the box it'll handle 720p@120fps ok. Seemed to start 1080p@60fps ok but then
slow down. However, it has a boatload of rendering options and I found that by
switching it to Overlay Mixer mode (Options - Playback Output - DirectShow Video - Overlay
Mixer Renderer) I could get it to play 1080p@60fps stutter free.
It even seems to handle 2.7K@30fps.
