full ack.
plus the mpu connection is done over spi.
much faster input.
not to forget the data flash - helping to debug the logic.

So the performance of APM do you think is better?
But both 6000 or 6050 sensors support SPI.

Yes pavn, the APM will work better. You'd get direct access to ArduCopter releases and you have dataflash to help you analise and debug crashes instead of just collecting the broken pieces and scratching your head about what could've possibly go wrong.

Now GPS-wise, the LEA is more robust then NEO, and is firmware upgradeable, so a bit more future-proof if you afford to dish out twice the money.

The boIIocks is that RcTimer release date has been pushed back to 10th of Nov.

Thanks,
Release date of what exactly?

I am heading to ArduPilot way. Would like to use it either with Skywalker Sirius or with MSComposit Maxi Swift wing.

Why with LEA GPS is used just 5 Hz update rate?
Does not this GPS modul support 10 Hz?

Is the precision so important for airplane or only for copter?

But there is used u-blox NEO-6M GPS module instead of LEA as Robert suggested.

And how far you can go with RCTimer Radio Telemetry Kit 915Mhz?

In Australia you can go far. In Europe, whatever band you switch the modules to, either the ground RX or the air RX will get swamped by GSM tower emission.

For Europe, you'll have to look elsewhere for 433 or 868 MHz modules.

pavn, there's a lot of information around... read as much as you can before posting questions.

I read that even with the 433 MHz modem the possible range is approx only 1 mile only.

With a patch antenna on the ground station, I don't think range would be an issue with a multicopter.

I placed an order yesterday, it is marked as shipped this morning.
