Dirtchamp Design TimeR

Just received the DCD {Dirtcahmp Design} TimeR package for 1 person and an extra transponder for a buddy.
So far really impressed with the system, very well made, really compact, a sweet software package and relatively clear instructions to get you going.
Once set up it seems glitch free, with no false hits. After the battery charged we had it up and running in about 7 min the first time.
The portability and wireless are super cool features you can set up anywhere in 5 min.

I made a small bracket to mount the transponder so it is visible through the windows on a couple Touring car bodies and a SC truck. the bracket can be easily rotated 180deg as well. It works through clear windows and so far on tinted windows as well. We tried it through paint just to see, and it does not work.
Also the SC truck got pretty dirty and it did not seem to effect sensing.

MAC or Windows.
The software looks pretty comprehensive and is laid out in an intuitive fashion.
It gives you a lot of info, including track temperature and when practicing has a spoken lap time feature for 1 selected driver.
It also automatically produces Excel and PDF docs for each session, cool..
There are many race, qualifying and practice modes as well as driver dashboards, all modes are have adjustable parameters to tweek it for what you or your club wants to do.
It supports a ton of drivers any number of tracks and we think a minimum of 20 racers at once.
It saves and stores your data and is linked to DCD Cloud.
We have tried it in a parking lot with touring cars, a back yard SC track and a club track, flippen sweet...
You do need a computer or for out in the field a laptop with BlueTooth, they also have a Mobil app.

I think this is gonna work great for small clubs or backyard racers and the price is about right, though a bit steep for one guy prolly unless your real serious.

Stormer Hobbies, Amain Hobbies and mebbee RPP Hobbies are selling them here in the States.

Here is the link to the Web Page..

All in all an amazing product, extraordinary portability and capability. I think it brings a completely new level of competition and practice to just about anyone or group with an interest.
