I see your point, but on the other I've seen guys assemble the FC with standoffs directly to the frame, with no dampening at all.
In any case, I removed the zip tie and it didn't make any change.

I would really hate getting a new frame and rebuilding this thing from scratch, only to find out it wasn't the frame that caused the problem.

I'm flying basically the same frame you are (a "real" DJI 450"), and I have my HK KK 2.1 board mounted directly to the bottom plate on nylon stand-offs. No vibration isolation at all, and it flies just fine. The rest of the rig is flashed 30A Proton ESCs, RCTimer 2830/14 750kv motors, and Gemfan 10x4.5 props. I don't bother balancing props or motors because it doesn't seem to matter, and I'm not doing aerial photography.

So what I want to propose is that you fill us in on the rest of the details about your rig, and post some photos of the thing. Maybe one of will will be able to spot a problem if we can look at it. It's hard for me to imagine that your 450 clone frame could be causing the problem.

Also- how sure are you that the board has the 4.7 firmware? Did you flash it yourself?

Yes, I have flashe the board myself with v4.7.

Here's my gear:

- D2830-11 1000kv Brushless Motors
- HobbyKing 30A BlueSeries ESCs
- 10x4.5 SF Props

I'm going to try to flash the ESCs tomorrow (never done that before), and see if that helps in any way.

Which way is front? Red arms or white arms?

I don't think that flashing the ESCs will help, but it won't hurt either.

What kind of Tx/ Rx? Is it PWM? Set to airplane mode rather than heli mode?

One other thing- I'm so used to using flashed ESCs that it didn't occur to me to ask- did you set the programming on the ESCs and make sure they were all the same- you know- brake off, nicd batteries, mid-timing, and so forth. This is done in addition to the throttle calibration.

They need to be all the same, and there's no guarantee that they are from the factory. You've got to check. If you flash them with SimonK, it no longer matters. All you have to do then is the throttle calibration.

Yes, all the ESCs were programmed the same way when I changed the motor rotation direction.
By the way, why set battery to nicd?

The ESC is usually set to "nicd" in the programming to avoid the built in "low voltage shuttoff" for lipos that practically all ESCs have. You don't want your quad shutting down in mid-air. That's why most multi fliers use timers or separate lipo alarms.

By the way- which way is front on your quad? White arms?
