Thanks much for the detailed build pics. Very helpful. Wondering how much Welders you used during the build? Looks like you started with a full tube, nearing the build finish looks like the tube was finished and for the engine mount a new tube was started? Do we need to consider about one full tube (or slightly more) of Welders for this build? Many thanks again for the detailed information.....

I wouldn't be too upset about that. It's almost like they are two different planes. One more balsa like and one more depron like.

Oh, I'm not upset. I flew a few other Crack Yaks is why I got this one. They are awesome. And the weight doesn't bother me. Only thing that really sticks out in my mind is the landing gear. Wish it wasn't extra with the original.

I agree, which is one of the reasons we went with the new gear design on the Lite series.

I've been putting a lot of flights on this in my backyard the last few evenings. It is very cool to see how much more you can do in a tight space with this plane. The responsiveness is killer! My small space flying is really improving!

As weight reduction is a significant feature of this new Lite version, was hoping for a more detailed/informative answer.....thank you for your reply.

I was really careful and used maybe 1/4 of a tube in my build.
