Nice Azarr! I love being able to do stuff like that with EPP planes.

Another favorite is to go full throttle along the ground, then give positive snap commands while chopping the throttle. The plane will jump off the ground into a snap and settle back down on its wheels.

Flew outside today in a little wind, tried to get some video but it spent most of the time out of the frame. Hopefully I can get some video tomorrow after work.

I was trying to figure out what may have stripped mine, but I really have no clue. Haven't rudder touched it yet....

What are u guys flying for throws and expo? I have my expo set a 65% all around, and I have to recheck throws on low....

Looking good! I am still trying to figure out rolling harriers. What do u have your throws set at?

Thanks, I have my throws set at 65 degrees on the tail, you have to pump the throttle a lot to get a good rolling harrier.

Hi Guys,

I was so impressed with my Crack Yak mini that I ordered this plane to fly in larger indoor venues as well as outdoors.

First off I want to apologize for not doing my due diligence and reading the whole thread or doing a search but if I do that I won't get the plane built for tomorrows indoor.
I am wondering if it is possible to omit installing the landing gear to save some weight or is it needed structurally?

Second question is I noticed the two side trusses are cut straight (two sides parallel) rather than having them tapered the length of the fuse creating the triangle shape which usually does a better job of stiffening the fuse torsionally. Is the tail stiff enough doing it the stock way? Has anyone played with using tapered trusses?

Landing gear not essential, many posts about leaving them off. Gear will help reduce prop strikes if installed
Mine is pretty well stock and no dramas with the trusses, very stiff at the rear end.

Just maiden my CKL, lot of fun.

Here is my weights of the two models minus battery.

CK V1 with custom c/f gear, dymond 4.7 , 1700kv Turnigy 2004, GWS HD 8X4 5.5oz
CK lite with stock gear, dymond 4.7, 2200kv CCDR, GWS SF 8X4.3 4.9oz

For power I like 3s 30gram packs in CK V1, and 2s 20gram packs in CK lite.

Each is different enough I like to split airtime, the heavy V1 has more inertia to do some crazy things the
Lite will just stop. But it could just be me not getting on the sticks hard enough. 02


FWIW both are built using Beacon adhesives Quick grip dispensed from syringes from rural king. I most definatley preffer this glue over Welders and cheap $3.67 at Walmart
