The next few pictures in the series cover running hardware. Motor bracket, gears and stuffing boxes. Check out the gears that he used. Everything looks like its well mounted. For his props I saw on most of his boats he adds a slot in the prop which engages a pin in the shaft. He makes his own lock nuts for the props. I think on some he might have a pin through the shaft to lock the nut.

The next five pictures looks like he was working on the motor mounts and building the faux gas engines that will be used to cover the electric motors.

Back in post #25, the picture that Tim B reposted, I did not know what those thin strips were for, my lack of knowledge on wooden boat building. I was corrected by frankg at our club meeting tonight, they are ledger strips, thanks Rich!

We are getting near the end of the photos that I have.

Here he has the running hardware mounted. Boat looks really good with all that lumber showing. To bad it gets covered up!

Note: If you don't know this... When you click on a picture and get the slide show, if you click on the picture again, it opens in a solo window. Click on the picture again and you might, should, get a larger view.

Glad you enjoy them Tim. Others must be enjoying them as well, the pictures are getting an awful lot of views, not so many comments.

The fact that he was an artist, an art teacher, really shows in his work. Because these photos show a piece of artwork being created, in the fullest sense of the word.

Looks like we have some rudder hardware assembly. Some woodworking on the forward deck and wood for the cabin structure.

Some deck construction and installing the faux gas engines which cover the electric motors. Pictures 3-5 look like lighting for the dashboard, my guess.

For picture #6 of the deck area. Note the joints on the wood deck structure, the exhaust pipes coming from the engines with hose clamps, in the upper left a drain for the deck. I'm guess to port and starboard of the servo is the gas tanks. Detail that would not be normally seen. So in every detail the looks like a real boat? Wouldn't you say so?
