120 makes it look like Gopro distorted Macro 65X in our case doesnt work as a macro (for extreme close ups) it works as a wide angle lens without distorting too much horizon and other object.Check my videos:
https://vimeo.com/home/myvideos/sort:date/format:detail
almost all (all not through FPV cam) are with this lens.
So for people who do not have newest #11 - #16 (hundreds of them) this is absolutely the best of two worlds :-) Here is the link :
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Detachable-W...&forceRpt=true

As for jello look at my pictures above I use velcro on all keyfobs ( if you get the clear one there is no slack, no vibes Unless I dont stick it right LOL(balance the prop too)
And here is a #16 with Macro lens on FPV truck, this is as bad as vibes can get and guess what ??
No Jelo :-)
just cruising at the shore (3 min 22 sec)

The # 16 camera is a good little keychain camera.
One thing to keep in mind as cold weather is coming (for some of us) is that the stock battery will not last very long in temps below 50*f.
Powering from another source may be best in colder weather.

Absolutely, good point !!!
if it gets close to 40F my cams record only for 2 - 3 min LOL.
The good news is that the newest one comes out with wire to attach external battery ( see pics above).

Right, so let me do a requsite list for this mount, and a few questions I have if anyone could answer;
1. The case, To accommodate all versions of the cam (first question, where does the #18 have its extra 2mm? I'm hoping on the top half, so when sat in the mount it still lines up with the lens holder. and have a rail attach system.
2. The extra lens, to slot into the front of the housing, lining up with the keychains lens (0.5mm spacing?)
3. The hard points, low profile, light weight, solid connection, nuff said.
4. All other P&T mounts (except the flying wing incarnation) to have a built in Hard point.
5. A standalone P&T/P&R mount for the use on planes/quads
6. Internal heater? perhaps a slot for a diode & resistor inside the casing underneath the cam, 5V powered from the Rx/UBEC to dissipate frost protection heat.
7. All to be low profile and aerodynamic as is reasonably practicable.

Do let me know if ive missed anything before I spend 10 hours meshing it out and figuring out the scale ratio to account for ABS shrink rate :P.

Another quick question to the masses, what cameras are everyone using (website links please). Im really rocking with these mounts now. and I want to accommodate for all cameras.

If anyone is looking at the hobbyking reaper thinking "it looks good, but how on gods earth would I get a working pan and tilt in that rubbish dome", here is the answer (still a work in progress).

I use the below camera... I think all of their cameras are the same and there are quite a few people that use the various ones 4xx, 5xx, and 6xx

Im sure your list already has the Securitycamera2000 600tvl, it might be the most popular FPV camera used.
If you really need a link, I'll dig one up when not on my phone.

So popular in fact a friend at the field gave me one to measure :P. I just want to make sure I cover all the bases as far as board cameras are concerned.

Currently waiting for a donated keychain cam to be delivered so I can mock it up and do the mount, the ground work is done (making a mock mount etc...) I have made a replica bixler 2 canopy replacement as well so I can do a special mount that you just slot straight in. The easystar 2 false canopy is in the works.

What ive been working on while waiting for the keychain cam to arrive is this;

RCMonster99 came to me after seeing the P&T mount featured on the first page of this thread and asked for one to integrate into his hobbyking reaper (in fact its the reason he bought one). I thought better of it, Took a few measurements and stole the camera he wanted to use in it and created possibly the sexiest P&T ever, especially when this thing has some paint on it it'll look awesome! 180 deg rotation (with the right servo), built in wire guides and cable clamps, 90 degrees of tilt (horizontal to directly down using a 3.6g size servo). The base plate also reinforces the front structure of the fuselage. To strength test the dome, I put it on the floor, and stood on it. I weight about 13 and a half stone, it didn't break a sweat!

The pictures above represent about 32 hours of design time :P. defiantly my best work yet. Im sure RCM will post pics during the build and hopefully a video of it in action . the dome weighs in at 28g, the base plate is about 40g, the camera cradle is 3g and the servo horn (big bit in the middle) is about 20g. so all in all just under 100g, add a camera (Must be a board camera of an identical package size to a WDR600, anything bigger just wont fit), a 3.5g servo and a 12g servo and your away!

Are you selling any of these? That would be awesome... especially if you can figure out how to squeeze a 808 in there

I would be happy even with the board cam...

Lol I doubt anything bigger than that would fit, when viewing horizontal there is a 0.2mm clearance between the top corners of the cam and the dome, when viewing vertical, there's a 0.1mm gap between the cam mount and the tilt servo. It really is as tight as it can be! I am planning on selling them, I can sell them with a Hitec digi servo package as well (pan servo preprogrammed to 180 deg and the new Hitec super tiny metal carbonite geared servo for the tilt, though they are expensive, they are amazing servos) I havn't figured out a price yet but given the design time, complexity and print time involved with a unit like this I'm look at between 45-50 + P&P. It certainly is impressive to see though. I can't wait for RCM to get his going.

Oh, and don't be disheartened, the keychain P&T mounts will be much cheaper than that :P. I'm by no means a greedy man. I'm more in it to make the hobby more enjoyable by spending less time assembling (and repairing) rubbish P&T mounts, or anything else for that matter, landing gear, pushrod bell cranks, motor mounts etc... And spending more time flying with reliable gear.
