The Super Cubs are in the warehouse in the U.S.

I got my notice of shipment this afternoon..........should be at my door in a week.

I think this is the first time Hangar 9 has been early with arrival.........most of the time they postpone the arrival at least twice.
This is a nice change...............way to go Hangar 9............

I live about 15 miles from Red Rocket so I do most of my Horizon business through them. They called yesterday to tell me my Cub will be in tomorrow. The battery tray and interior kit are still on B/O.

As much as I'd like to start on the Cub right now, I have a couple projects ahead of the build. I probably won't be able to get to it until after the first of the year.

Everything is well packed in the box and wrapped in plastic bags. I've only taken the fuse and pilot out of the plastic. The fuse looks well constructed. Cockpit area is painted gray instead of bare balsa. The covering is done well with no obvious wrinkles or bubbles. I think overall, the Hangar 9 planes are well constructed...better than most ARF's I've seen or built. I wish I could start building, but I have a couple things higher on my "to do" list before I get to it. And the Gods are smiling on us with a couple more great days before the snow starts flying. All the guys were at the field today, and everyone who can is going again tomorrow. I just have to fly.

I won't get into the electric vs. fuel argument, but I do prefer electric for my models. I've had good luck going with the Horizon Hobby recommended electric setups. With the Cub they recommend either 8s or 9s batteries. I have several 5000mah 4s's kicking around so I'm going to start with a couple of them in series for the 8s. I don't buy my batteries from HH because they're about twice the price other sites charge.

I just seen one of these at our LHS on Saturday. I hope to have one someday but I'll just read about all of yours.

Parts are included for both electric and fuel. The manual is pretty complete and explains how to set up for your power choice. You do need to purchase the battery tray separately from the kit.
