Home-made silencer

Thought you might like to see this little silencer that I knocked up last night.

It's fitted to a 2cc diesel engine.

Construction is from a CO2 cartridge that I found, whilst out with the dog. The cartridge came from someone's air rifle. I know that it's not an original idea. I recall seeing similar silencers on home-made engines.

It works pretty well ... it's primary use is to keep things a little less messy. Kept me entertained for an hour or so, in the constructing.

Nice! Is it welded or brazed? Looks like it was TIG welded.

Silver solder. Tough as old boots.

Now, I have an engine. I have some wings. And I have a tailplane.

Soon, I shall have my very own free-flight thingy. Muhahahahaha.

The timer is a bit problematic, though.
