1) Crack Yak - cheap, versatile, capable, and virtually indestructible. Bang for buck, arguably the best 3D plane of all.
2) Skywing MXS. Flies like balsa, survives like foam. Highly underrated and just as capable as many 48" balsa planes.
3) PA KMX. For those rare occasions when I can find the time to drive further and fly something too big for the local park.

I do have a feeling that if I had a crack yak, it would be on the list.

I do have to agree that the T-28 almost makes the list...certainly in the top 5. I flew mine today. Maximized throws, 40 amp ESC, and power 10 sized motor....

The T-28 makes my list. But that could be because I only have three planes
PZ T-28
3dhs 48" epp Yak
3dhs 48" epp Extra (not quite finished yet)

I don't fly the T-28 much, recently it's just been when the sun has set and it's getting dark enough that it's too hard to keep orientation straight for 3D/aerobatic flights. At that point, rather than just go home, sometimes it's fun to get in a couple tame flights with the T-28. The red and white one shows up pretty well in the dusk.

I saw a guy full throttle, straight down, power dive one with an E Flite Power 15 motor in it. The thing simply exploded from the stress. Epic!

Hey, for all of you, no matter what brand you fly give this a look before your next project. I know it is sort of off topic, but since we have people here flying all brands I'de like to share these techniques which will work with all brands.

Surely you don't consider the PA KMX too big for the park?

I have flown my 60" EF edge and extra 300 a few times on the double soccer park without issues, Yes, under full throttle it eats up the airspace pretty quick, but doesn't take much more space when your low and slow!

My top three based on the number of hours I fly them are as follows:
Telink 44" extraslick/edge540 epp.
Skywing 48" Sbach (on 4s )
EF 60" Extra300 on 6s with Motrofly DM4315-480 and Xoar 16x8 prop.

Plenty of others I fly but these three hands down are my go-to planes day in day out.
