People are certainly free to spend their earnings as they wish. Evander Holyfield had his 32 room mansion he built a few years ago foreclosed on. Many sports stars ended up broke after making millions.

Seagel was a billionaire. He is now in financial trouble, has $5 million worth of Chinese marble at his house he cannot finish sitting in crates gathering dust. He continues to live like he still has billions. If he made $45,000 a year and lost his house because he couldn't make the payment, he would be lambasted here, but since he is rich and cannot control his personal finances, somehow everyone sees him as a champion of capitalism.

Ever listen to yourselves? Seriously, do you think this stuff doesn't get to smelling ripe after a short time?

Don't buy it (and neither do you...)

LOVING the caveat word 'eventually' here too - B/S

Of course firing someone based on their politics would be unconstitutional.

Funny how that seems to get forgotten by I HATE THE CURRENT PRESIDENT crowd.

Further proof, if a liberal brings something to the forum, you are on the other side, regardless....
If he's a moron, I hope you don't take it personal that you haven't been able to do what he did.
And by the way, it's his money, not yours nor taxpayers. I don't care if he digs a hole, dumps it all in and sets fire to it because, again, it's his money.
Obama has been dumping MY money into a hole and setting fire to it, so I'm a bit perturbed because it isn't his money, it's mine, and that makes it really personal.

Also by the way, look at how the govenrment institutions across the country have been populated by Lefties, and that's on purpose because the Lefties get into a position of power and then intentionally hire other Lefties into the institution. "Not hiring" someone because they don't fit a political mold is no different from "firing" someone who doesn't fit a political mold.
Romney's win is only the beginning. Real Americans will then need to start firing Lefties out of power, seek all those who have used their positions to support or encourage Leftist positions, and basically clean house of all the Leftist filth that has helped Obama to destroy this country.
Lefties have declared war on America, so it's time that Constitutional Americans accept that for what it is and go to war ourselves.
A fitting quote from Lord of the Rings: "The filth of Sarumon is washing away".
It's now time for the filth of Liberalism to be cleansed and removed from this great country. How amazing it is now to know, truly know, that "McCarthy was right".

No, you are wrong.

Do I have to provide health insurance to my employees?

The Affordable Care Act does not require employers to provide health insurance for their employees.

The Employer Responsibility provision of the Affordable Care Act applies businesses with more than 50 full-time workers.
http://www.healthcare.gov/using-insu...x.html#provide

I don't believe I have worked for but one company that had more than 50 full time employees, could be two, first was Southern Bell, the other one, not sure how many they had, but they did $75 million a year in business and was one of the top 75 privately owned businesses in the state.

My concern is not that he can actually compel anyone to vote any way, as he cannot find out how they voted unless they volunteer it to him, but the hubris of such blather seems to show how some see themselves in this country. Narcissism coupled with megalomania. It goes hand in hand with the "most expensive" house and the trophy wife.
I think what he said was spot on. We have already seen companies beginning to limit employees hours to avoid the increased taxes under Obamacare. This owner is simply stating the same thing. I think it is good that he laid out the state of the company and what could happen if his costs are increased. The employees should know that information and realize their votes can have consequences.

“So where am I going with all this? It’s quite simple. If any new taxes are levied on me, or my company, as our current President plans, I will have no choice but to reduce the size of this company. . . .

You see, I can no longer support a system that penalizes the productive and gives to the unproductive. My motivation to work and to provide jobs will be destroyed, and with it, so will your opportunities. If that happens, you can find me in the Caribbean sitting on the beach, under a palm tree, retired, and with no employees to worry about.
I didn't care for the comments about being on a beach but his message is clear, on point and being echoed by many other companies.

More job losses with an Obama win. No "nasty letter", just the reality of what Obamanomics is doing to this country and even extending to the rest of the world as the US becomes a paper tiger through Obama's "leading by shoving it up our behinds".

It's one thing to have a different political belief, left right or center. Of that I have no problem. But Obama is none of those. He wants to destroy the country. So voting for him is basically treason.

And hopefully billyd's quoted post can be used in a Wrongful Termination lawsuit some day.

They were rolling in Nov 2008 and will undoubtedly roll on post Nov 2012.

It's embarrassing.

It will not matter if it is added to a lawsuit... He will never know how his employees vote, he just told them the cold hard facts of business. more expense means a smaller leaner meaner company. Rasie taxes and fees and he will cut back. it's simple.

You may thank the current president after I leave. (By way of the voting booth.)

Pretty incredible, Tree. I don't think they even read that article. And he runs a company that is so vital to the economy: timeshares. And apparently fleeces customers well enough to become a billionaire.

Meh.
