According to...? If you wouldn't mind linking to this rule, I'd love to see it, however I think this is just a common misconception of many on RCG. If I'm wrong, I guess I'll just have to post a pic of my foot in my mouth...

Interesting that he is into 3D... Non of these lipos are of suitable size/ cell count to fit any size of my 3D planes... Or is it just me?

I can't find it on my phone, but the problem arises from rcg not having any infrastructure to do a fair auction, including visible bids, authenticated users, and most importantly, is not likely to ever want the legal liability that arises when an auction goes wrong. You need a 3rd party that assumes some responsibility to run an auction, real or electronic. I'm pretty sure rcg doesn't want to do that.

A silent auction doesn't present most of these issues, however.
