Deltas come in all different sizes, just getting an idea to convert it one day to airborne launcher using my "Triptych". Any pilots interested taking over the Mirage? Just imagine 3.5Kwatt boost of efflux blowing into my 7.5Kwatt central power unit during the separation, should be interesting, J.

Hi Graham, first I have to finish off the model, before starting to fool around with the new ideas. Still waiting for some parts. This comming week having big jet meet in QLD, taking up also "H/Hunter" being such a great flying model in windy conditions. I'm doing also full review for number of magazines so hoping there will be a great roll up. J.

Just about complete with the job, only to fit the canopy and she is ready for the first flight. Should be pretty lively model at only 2.9kg AUW. J.

Little test before my maiden to check the figures, 95amps/2750watts while using Emeter with only 12G leads, not bad for a cheap chunk of foam so it will be interesting how it translates in the air, J.

Bad news, all the exitement is over! Maiden it day earlier, taking off down wind and landing very slowly into it. I reduced AIL. travel down to 60% before the flight but it was still too much so 30-40% will be more then enough for those huge surfaces. Pretty bad visibility with the grey sky so no aeros the first flight. Pretty quick on down wind leg despite my vid. director didn't think so. Great Stumax sound, but I like to see some verticals so tomorrow is another flying day, J.

Well done Joe. On that power it should move nicely.

Thanks Guys, Yes the "roos" keep on nibbling the grass and leaving lot of poo as residue behind, the last thing you like to suck inside your air intakes. Yesterday before my maiden had to chase about 50 of them from the strip.
Few more flights with Mirage today, very touchee controls due to those huge Elevons, needs very little travel, few more flights and I'll be fully with it, J.

Last 4 flights I did my first aerobatic routine, great performer even in the horrendously windy conditions like today's flight in 20knot gusts. Real challenge to land it, thought. See my next video. I finally set my CofG to 240mm back from the bottom wing LE. Yesterday during my first rolls it did about 3 barrel rolls in one second! so I reduced AIL. travel to 8mm only, in next video footage, J.
