Yeah Please no Don Gentile. He was a fourth guy, but between Eflite and Top Flite it has been done. Vote for Ralph. His was a one of a kind plane. Custom one of a kind Olive Drab top sides a carry over from the RAF and white wall tires.

He flew with the American Fighter Group, known as the “Flying Tigers”, in China until the unit disbanded on July 4, 1942, and then he joined the 356th Fighter Squadron, 354th Fighter Group, 9th USAAF, in England. While he was with the Flying Tigers, he was credited with 2.33 air-to-air and four air-to-ground victories, and his total of 8.33 air-to-air made him an Ace. On January 11, 1944, he single-handedly defended a formation of B-17 bombers from the 401st Bomb Group against an estimated 30-40 German fighters northwest of Halberstadt, Germany. For his efforts on this mission, he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, the only fighter pilot in northwestern Europe to receive the nations highest honor.
Yes, at the VERY least don't make another silver one, for the love of everything holy.

Yes but I specifically made it a point to say that I had never seen a FOAM "B" before.

As for the livery, well again, this is where WE have the power. WE get to vote on our favorite liveries and whichever wins, will be the livery they choose! Just like all the other polls of the past that Beltpilot has authored...

So while you may have your reservations about the model, you can't worry that there's no control over the scheme. That is all US!

As soon as they send me the photos of their prototype, we will create a poll thread to quickly determine the top six or so liveries that we can vote on...The winner is the scheme FMS will adopt for the V1.

So Belt, I gladly will be handing off this next phase to you my friend. Maestro of the livery polls!

Here are a few schemes I considered before finishing mine.

I seem to recall a poll where WE had an awful lot of votes for the P-39.....

and something else, but it was a while ago. Just know it WASN'T a P-51B.
I'm sure this will be a fine model, but geez...

Good grief... 63 pages later and only a P51B!???

I hope the ego trip was worth it and makes up for the total lack of imagination.

What a flop, I can suggest some nose art for it though:

I think you are mistaking power of model versus scheme.

I'm fresh out besides my 1.7 Stang. I need a 1.4 Stang in my hangar and I for one will be happy for this new offering. Kind of surprised how many warbird snobs, er, I mean snubs are going on in this thread.

Well I am not snubbing it , as stated I know FMS will deliver a nice plane but frankly as stated its a mustang and I have 4 in my fuel warbird collection and never really been a fan of this version , but hey that is why we live in the USA , we have freedom of choice .
Too much competition and unique introductions coming out with the larger Dauntless, LX Wildcat , ect
