Post #61 top of page 5 is where Aros said it had already been guessed. Later he said it was a tail dragger. And it was from the WWII era. Beltpilot said it was well known, main stream, but hardly seen. And that he had sent FMS paint schemes for it.

So all the planes that have been mentioned before page 5 that meet those criteria. And are not updates to existing models are:

Hawker Tempest/Typhoon
Hawker Hurricane
Junkers JU-88

I too would love to see a bear cat...that could go nicely with my carrier fleet! If I had to guess though, somehow I see the hawker tempest being it...
