Hotrod MiniSpyder

I just finished my second Dialfonzo Mini Spyder, on this one I did a few minor mods such as installing AXN-2208-2150 motors and use 20AMP Hobby Wing ESC. To do this I had to modify the side arm braces to allow for the witdh of the ESC and put some spacers under the motor mounts to get the bells above the top of the arms. I also wanted to mount the battery between the top and bottom frame which is only 15MM. to do this I cut the top frame off at the battery mount area and raised it up to allow a battery of up to 25MM to fit this area.

Cool,
But, I have not even got my first one yet. I am a little jealous.

I have these waiting for it. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ner_Motor.html

Nater, I got two of them because Eric does quality work, He cut the first one and was not happy with it so he cut me another one, I told him I would take the first one also, that is how I ended up with two. IMO these things are first class. I love flying them.

That' a hack..
Could you have mounted the arms plate upside down (mounting part on top) and mount the motor mount inside the frame ?

LOL, 44gram motors in this thing. I bet she's a rocket. How is your CG with the battery hanging out the back?

No Hack, just the way i planned it. I eventually want to use clear plexi or similar spacer and drill a small hole and mount a LED LIGHT in the clear spacer which will light up the whole mount. Plus the frame mount holes will not fit this motor mount base.
I love these minis I hope you sell a lot of them Eric.

On this Mini I cant tell the difference between battery mounted on the bottom center from where it is at now in flight. The CG moved back maybe 20mm from center of the FC board

They go well. Just make sure the grubscrew securing the shaft to the bell is threadlocked. Had one motor where the shaft slipped. Wouldn't hurt to disassemble and grind a flat on the shaft.

Cool. What flight controller you running? Was it easy to tune? I found with my little overpowered quad it was real fussy on the PID tuning.
