Nazi airplanes

Just wondering, why does it look that several manufactures list many ads with Nazi model airplanes for sale?

Maybe because they will sell more if they advertise?

It doesn't look some manufacturers have German aircraft advertised for sale. They DO have such aircraft advertised.
Your point is?
Remember these are "models" of aircraft, not a political statement.

True, but it's rather amusing that modeling is about the only way to get a legit swastika (small) without raising some eyebrows.

Because here, in the Free World, we are allowed to buy them.

The RC model industry is much like the plastic model industry. The German Army and Luftwaffe used a myriad of different designs during WW2 that proved to be extremely capable. Modelers like to model the best planes, tanks, cars, boats that were produced during the war.

Even Israel itself used ME-109s and Panzer IVs initially after it was formed because they were readily available.

As was said above these aren't political statements just models of great machines.

I also wonder why few get upset at the sight of a Japanese "Meatball", when they were so vile and horrible to thier enemy? They were brutal, but even I as a veteran understand, they are models, not a political statement. Putting a meatball or swastika on a model doesn't mean I agree with what they did any more than driving a Benz or BMW or Mitsubishi does.

You need to get out more and widen your horizons.

The swastika is a religious symbol that's been commonly used for 1000's of years. If you went to (for instance) India you would see adorning every Hindu temple and used as a good luck charm on jewellery, houses etc..
Why should the world be banned from using a religious symbol that's been in use since antiquity just because some lunatics hijacked it for a few years?

And yes, I'm unaware of any airplane that was a member of the Nazi party

Why shouldn't they? The Japanese still use their Rising Sun flag and no one gets offended by that. There is something about a Focke-Wulf FW 190 that just doesn't look right unless it has the swastika on the V Stab. I bought some for my Flyzone FW 190 from Horizon Hobby. They don't advertise them, but they have them.

Here in Latvia ... I have had a couple comments about my ME109 with Swastika and the Mig 3 with Soviet Star ... some people here are extremely touchy about this ......

My answer was as others said here - They are models not political ... plus I added - much as some would like to change it but history is history.

You beat me too it,here are no Nazi aircraft.
To dismiss modelling or producing a model any of aircraft on the grounds of politcal or religious reasons to suit one person or group is stepping through the door to revisionsist history. Display of a swatzika in for historical reasons don't bother me one bit. Even if someone puts a swatizika on their car, ear rings, t- shirt, whatever I've still no probelm with it. Free speech covers this pretty well I think, at least in the US. It doesn't mean I approve or disapprove of any idealogy or subscribe to it. I would never condem another right to expression just as I wouldn't want my right to free speech and expression restricted to suit any special interest.

Thank you ,

I've seen German aircraft with the Iron Cross but I've haven't seen many (if any) with a swastika. The Iron Cross predates any aircraft by centuries.
