Fly slow with a Picco .60

A friend is practically giving me a used Picco 60 engine he used on a fast pattern plane. However, I fly mostly big and slow because I don't trust myself. He has a homemade tuned pipe on it now.

My question is, will this engine do well with a big slow prop? I have several 60 size engines using 12x6 and 14x4 props. Might a 14x5 work well with this engine and what should I do to tune the exhaust down to mid-range rather than full throttle as he flys? Thanks in advance for any advice - David

Here is a thought use the same setup and only fly at half the throttle. Then when you get ready to do a hammer head no pun intended, you will have the power to do such a maneuver ????

So, you're suggesting no change. Just use it when I need it. I think that's probably good advice. Thanks!
