So, Ah, how much are you selling that one for?
Panel lines look great and will weather with time even better.

Love it! And I love that simple EDF test stand. Don't know why I never thought of it surrounded by chunks of foam?

Fabulous work.

Building something like this from scratch, finally flying it successfully, having a one-of-a-kind model at the field that no one else has; the satisfaction is way, way high up there on the ladder.

I swear i am F!$#ing jinxed!
It never fails, complete a model to a high polished shine.
Take it out to show it off. See below

Should have left the frakn thing epoxy yellow, with foam and lite ply visible.

Its a beautiful bird. This has to be, hands down one of the easiest planes to fly! I swear just bang the throttle, look the other way, and its in the air!

Was flying just beautiful, then disaster!

Crash site shown a blinking spectrum. Brownout!

lipo 15.40v pretty much rules out lvc.

Dumb thumbs can contribute a little.
Of course when ever we run into something like this we are mashing the throttle up and down to get something back it.
Pointed at the ground i had full up elevator in, when it did come back. this put it into a stall nosed over and we have the above.

Then to find out they have buried a high voltage power line cutting diangle through airfield.
This is probably the 8th ship i seen go in out here at Cherry Creek Reservoir. All glitched before, they terminally hit terra-ferma.
I will never fly there again!

Hey sorry to see that.... unfortunately we have all been there so I know the feeling.

Great build and hope to see you get it back up in the air.

I live in Castle Rock, what other fields do you fly at? I've been planning to fly at Cherry Creek with my coworker who fly's there all the time. Do you go there often?

Also how did you do your panel lines? Great work... I'd love to learn more about your method

Once painted i seal it with a lite dusting of fixative. This allows me to use an eraser if i draw something wrong and wont tarnish the paint.
Draw on my black lines, dust with fixative
Draw on my highlights using white, and dust with fixative
The i use chalk and a hard brush for weathering.
then seal it all again.

Fixative is very lite, fast drying but can not be used on any bare foam. you must have your foam protected with fiberglass.

Nice... looks like your about back in business.

I'm hot wiring new wings today myself and may cut out a new fuse for a warthog I've been playing with. But the weather looks calm right now so I may sneak out and burn through a few batteries.

Ouch, man that sucks. I was going to warn you about finishing her off. Good to see she is fixable. D have you ever tryed using lead pencils for weathering. They work pretty good. I use an exacto and scrape lead off then smudge it around. I use different # pencils or just the raw piece's you get from an art store.

Nice.... I am going to try that. I'm new to weathering/panel-line finishing techniques... I did get some success on one of my wings by using a piece of charred wood from my backyard fire pit. I seem to have an endless supply of the stuff... :-)
