Phil,

You will not find a nicer build job than a Porter Plane. I have spent many hours in Jim's shop building with him and I am still the Grasshopper to his Master Build Skills.

Most F3F Vikings are a bit lighter than 86oz.
I have a friend that has two and they are 80oz and 82oz, if I recall correctly.
Great flying slope planes and still fast.
