Mick,
What a great conversion, your skill with timber is unsurpassed, perhaps you could post some pics of the boat in it's original condition when it came to you to let us see what can be done with a not so well built model.

Hi George,
Pictures as equested, as you can see not much is to the correct
scale and has a mixture of old and modern fittings, the only thing
I have used is the hull with a modified transom, flat to counter stern, the deck line has been altered re planked, raised freeboard, new gunwhale, lower rubbing strake and extended stem.

The only thing that I recognise from the original is the bow, thanks for posting the original pic and I look forward to future pics of your progress..

Thanks for your interest and comments, my only concern is the heat generated by the boiler thats why I have lined the inside with aluminium, I have also fitted a louvered grill in the front of the wheelhouse and will fit a grating in the rear hatch, I could also fit a extractor fan if necessary, what do you think, as all of my steam boats have been open I have not had any experience of enclosed boilers.

Ceramic fibre sheet, 1/8" (3MM) thick. Obtainable from the usual ME suppliers, Reeves etc.
