Wow they really did come out great. Did you turn them on a lathe? Super work Jeff.

Thanks guys!

I got the front guns painted and a little highlight added.
Getting started on the cabin now then the flooring.

Pretty much everything is going to have to be made from scratch other than the hull.

Awesome looking weapons. Will they have ammo belts?

Actually they had the flexible aluminum guide tubes that the belts ran in to each gun from the outside. It kept the belts from kinking, with only one gunner operating the turret he could not hold or feed the belts by himself.

Ya what he said but where in the world could you get some or make some out of what to look like those.

Any ideals?

I made them out of wood on mine, but I was thinking of some aluminum rectangular tubing that was cut with a Dremel disk at a slight angle from alternating sides. You could leave the bottom alone and just cut the top and two short sides. An ammo belt could also be slid inside for more realism/detail. Just a thought anyway.

I used a narrow old "twist flex" type watch band on a big scale Huey I built, had 50 Cal's, looked GREAT cause they twist like the real thing and they blackened perfectly.

There are MANY widths, go to a good watch repair dude and tell him the dimensions.

Sorry no pics of that model

Well there you go. Ask and the great thing about this place is that there is almost always someone with a answer. That is pretty smart Tim.

I absoloutely could not think of Anything else that behaved like that other than the twist flex band.

Used several peices of narrow ladies band and heated them up till they blued.

had to sell that model when I moved, it was the big Revell kit.

This is a Real Bird.
