ran 7 test like this today...im trying to destroy these gears.

ok we seen the torture test vids right...just pulled her down.....looks the same as the last time i pulled it down.only damage to the gears is my fault, the motor coupling set screw backed out and allowed the vertical shaft and gear to rise, rounded off the tips of the gears....very slight damage.
im impressed, anyone want repeat the same test on stock gears....lol.

Whoa! That is an electric powered trim you installed in your boat? Cool!

the trim works well from a cheap servo, home made screw drive.pretty simple to make.it could use a hitec 645 for more power, but its enough to lift the entire boat fully loaded.its slow and precise adjustments while riding.i never seen anything like it...so i had to build it.my setup is hidden, and allows the motor to kick up.i seen 1 other trim setup that hooked up to a rod on the top of the motor,it worked but wasnt precise, and lacked power.
my set up works well.

its all here in racing boat forum.

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1418793

im going to redo it this winter....not that i dont like it,just know i can build a more user friendly production model thats more appealing.i was thinking $50 per unit....you supply the servo....just an idea sofar.can be used with any small ep outboard...maybe a 3.5 cc nitro....need bigger servo though.

this cheap servo (axial servo) can trim at full throttle, barely slows the servo down.
