Looks like someone closed the gate and locked it. I don't have a key so we'll have to wait until tomorrow.

I have my quad copter with me...i can fly that any where....i think I'm gonna head down to the bay side of mission beach and fly the quad....

I got kicked off fiesta once for flying there...but I'm down on sunset point just east of the bridge that takes you to mission beach...no one here...and weather is nice

There was no one at the field and the gate was locked....I'm just down the way a bit on the bay flying the quad

Either way I pushed out to 'Grid 8' and had a good time. Probably the closest I'll get to desert flying without having to go to the desert. If you're on 900mhz and 2.4ghz you have a clear signal. I didn't push very far. Probably about 2000' from base in each direction.

Didn't spot any coyotes in the desert!

The place is just asking to be punished with a wing! The trails out there are fun to fly down and lead you around the area. The small river bed was pretty cool too..

The area would work out better during day. The sun is a killer out there when you're trying to land. Probably be the same during the mornings.. Just remember don't talk about the fight club..
