Based on our huge success at the 1st FPV Meetup San Diego North County, we decided to start a more regular group that can meetup in the San Diego County area and fly together FPV.

I think that I can make the 10am sorrento meet up this Sat. Gotta check to make sure, but it should be fun. As I was saying, I have been practicing smooth AP/AV flying for the past few months on my Y6 multi. So, LOS for that guy only. I also have a small quad w/ Go pro that i can connect my downlink (900mhz) and fly FPV with my cheap 7in monitor. Not the best FPV setup but it works ok. Love to see what setups you guys are packing

If we meet up we'll have to coordinate with each other. I'm running 900mhz for my downlink and 2.4G for my uplink. I have a pre-ban video setup so we can look into options if we want to fly together.

Just to toss it out there for the South County crowd. Here's a couple places to fly that I found I can share.

- SEFSD has lightened their FPV policy. Have to be a AMA member and have to fly within the field boundary. Plus you have to fly by the new AMA rules and under 400 feet. It may seem restrictive, but it's a pretty cool place to fly at IMHO. I usually fly here on the weekends. I still want to try flying through a gap in some of the trees out there! --Google Link--

- Lake Otay is a pretty nice place. There is a peninsula that ScrtSqrl and I discovered and flew there once already. There is a small private airport a mile to the east of the LZ. The lake is only open on Weekends and I think Wed. So keep that in mind before you travel! --Google Link--

Sounds good. My setup is 2.4ghz uplink (AHSS hitec), and the 900mhz 1w transmitter for the downlink. It's a HK setup, with a few channels (8 I think). Though I bet it doesn't play well with other 900mhz setups

I have 1.2, 1.3, and some 900 MHz Gear for VTZ/VRX.
I use 433 MHz 3dRobotics serial links, 433 MHz Dragonlink 1.0, soon to be 2.0, and a lot of Spektrum 2.4 GHz for control signals.
