Congratulations! I just got a Flash 5 that I intend to be my FrSky transmitter. No telemetry, but longer range. Module is $15.80 at HK. Here's some info on that:

Jim, Do you know if the HK (frsky) rx's work with the 9X module? If not, I may have a free 6 ch rx for ya

FrSky (ACCSTis) is a different 2.4 than the 9x (DSSS.) You can get a FrSky module for the 9x. The new FrSky D8 systems have two-way telemetry. If it is a D series, maybe you should hold on to it and save up for a 9x module...

BTW, FlySky is compatible, but FrSky is not. Took me a while to notice the difference a few months ago. FlySky makes their own, Turnigy, iMax and HK. FrSky makes a different system with telemetry and a longer range.

Well I have the old module I pulled out of an old HKT6A, but it doesnt look like the modules you can buy. I'll see if I can wire it up, and if it's not, Ill let you know.

HKT6A is a FlySky radio and is the same as the Turnigy/iMax. I am not sure about the current V2 stuff. I use the HK receivers with my 9x and FlySky CT6B (the original of the HK badged systems.) I was searching, but it is late and I have to go sit with my son to help him get to sleep. You'll know soon enough when you wire it up.

this would be a great trans.for my brother.we have been trying to fly together for a long time now but never get to i know if he had his own trans.we would get to fly all the time and he would be so greatful.thank you for doing this it is really nice of you to think of others like this.I want to say good luck to every one that is wanting this trans.
