I really do want to be better at flying. I'm currently putting together a Flyduino Nano and an F-450. I just like putting these things together but I hate crashing. |

I just broke a motor too.
![]() I had trashed the first set of blades after many contact with walls and furniture, so changed to the spare set. After about the fourth flight one blade of one prop snapped off at the root. I foolishly span up the X4 with the half-prop. The vibration was able to spin the motor in the housing and twist up the wires. one wire snapped, and on removing the motor the other wire pulled out right where it enters the motor base. 90 minutes of micro-surgery later I sort-of had the motor running again but there was no way it could ever be relied upon. Have ordered new props and motors but luckily I have 2 more X4s 'in stock' due to getting 3 for 2 at Modelzone. Though the third is a gift to someone else (probably!) I'm wondering whether a dab of hot melt glue on the motor to housing interface would be strong enough to prevent the motor body spinning in the case. Cyano would be too brittle. Evo-Stik perhaps? Sticky, but easy to remove. ![]() Nige |

Hello skipper1, thanks for the video. I seen there was one person who said they was using these. I just wanted to say there is another,"me". Lol... So I`m sold on these QR Ladybird Z-01 Propellers.
Like it was said before it does seem to use a little more battery. So I went nuts and bought two 350mah S1 batteries. I should have bought the 300mah S1`s but they was only a half gram lighter. Their on the slow boat so I will report when they come in. My USB charger I got with the X4 seems not to work. I bought a connector on ebay for the Accu 6 charger and charging the battery that way. I would suggest the X4 to everyone. You will have to do a few mod`s but well worth it. I got my settings down to 43 and having a blast flying in the house. Perfect for practice. I also been shoping for motors. Lot of sites have no specs. With some people droping the bottom of their motors it will be only a short time it will happen to me. I have over 40 flights already and still flying great. |
