Hey Guys this is probably a really silly question but what LiPo packs (brands) are people using in F5D, F5B applications.

I only ask because my current packs I'm using in my Plasma are approaching the 150-200 cycle point & I'm considering what will replace them. Currently my various setups are drawing between 25-45A on 3S.

Any feedback/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Danny, the Dinogy packs are proofing themselves in testing and real use to be one of the top packs around. A new web site and more sizes are comming.

If you wanna go the cheapo way, I recently did a search and many people in this sub-forum was recommending the Turnigy 30C saying they hold voltage under load even better than most higher C rating and higher priced lipos

I´ll give them a try, with that price you can´t go wrong

At 25-45A, I don't think it's going to matter much.

Depends on what size packs you're after?
I've found the Turnigy 30c 3000's & 2200's to be very good where as the 30c 1800's not too good. The best I've found in the 3000 ish size is the Turnigy Nanotech 65-130c's or A spec's.
I've found the big name and sometimes big price batteries to be not too good but as Bill said if you're only looking for ~45A it really won't matter. That is unless you want to get 45A out of a 450mAh pack.

I am running Turnigy 45c 3000mah 4s in a Strega Glider and found them to be excellent.
Recently changed to Nano Tech 2650 mah 4s 65c/130C in order to save a bit of weight--and found them to have similiar performance.

Initial climb out is 6 secs = 124,3 amps 1802 watts then 85/110 amps 3/4 secs.

About to try Turnigy 45 c 2200 mah 4s ( to save a further 80g )----does any know or have experience of how these will go ---perhaps too small in mah to handle the load? . Regards Keith

Most of the Belgium pilots on the World championship where using Gensace.
These packs are very powerfull and give high voltage. I was using on 6S 3200 and 2700. Most of the time 2700 because of the 3200 where to hot for my set up.

I would suggest you the Turnigy 40C series, I use it a 6S 2650mah 40C pack in my hotliner pulling +300amps, more than 30 flights so far, so good!

Hyperion has some fantastic packs and cells. I have even purchased Hyperion cells and put my own packs together.

Yesterday I tried out the Turnigy 45c series ------4s 2200 mah ---pulling 107amps in 6sec bursts.

They seem to holding up and I saved a further 80g in weight

Many thanks for all your input. I'm running a Turnigy Nanotech 3S 2200mAh, 25 - 50C discharge on my Plasma and their holding up pretty well.

However what I'm really impressed with is the Turnigy NanoTech 45C-90C 3S 1300mAh pack. I have a Speedwing mk 250, and these packs barely got lukewarm. I'm really impressed.

I'll also keep an eye out for the GensAce packs.

Thunder Power fan boy here. Still waiting to find something better. Used pretty much all the different types of packs over the years and my TP packs have not only lasted the longest but given the best performance aswell.

Nano techs and gensace are my favorites but the gensace never seems to be in stock. Shame on Hobby Partz.

Never had a problem. Very powerful.

Gens Ace are high quality and Venom batteries have been working relly well for me.
