Question
Help with new brushless motor for 24" pro boat apache catamaran

Hey guys! I recently got my new 24" pro boat apache cat, and I got a shiny new ESC and Brushless motor. One problem though... The drive shaft fits into a 3mm coupler as well as the original stock brushed motor which also fits into that same 3mm coupler. My new motor is 5mm, so I guess I'm in need of a 5mm to 3mm coupler? I'm having some trouble finding one. Could anyone help by shedding some light on this so I can finally get boating?!

I'm just wondering if I have some options, or if I need to return that motor and get one that fits in the coupler...

Also should I upgrade the prop to go with the more powerful ESC/BL motor?

Thanks!

I really don't think you will find one . Your best option would be to find a coupler that is 1/8 in. and then drill one end 5mm the other 3mm or I believe OSE has some couplers that are 5mm and .062 or .072 on the other end . Good luck .

Hi Fishy,

If your propshaft is a solid one, you should order this one:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/CMT-Alu-Kuppl...item4d038e78ec
You must select the correct size in the box (5 x 3 mm) and it'll fit.

If the shipping to the US should be through the roof, send me a PM and I'll order it for you and stick it in an envelope.

Regards, Jan.

Thanks I'll do that if I need to. I have some options right now that I will try out first, but that thing looks perfect!
