so if you are trying to charge in parallel, how are you putting in both the balance leads into the charger? and how does the charger know what battery needs more charge?

You just make a 1:x lead. You generally only parallel charge when the batteries are similar voltage levels and at that point the lowest voltage will pull more charge. This is not dissimilar to the fact when you put a charge into a 3 cell battery all the cells generally end up charged equally.

the logic of the charger and the balance plug that goes to each of the cells separately handles that. I personally would not charge that way, I have seen to many things destroyed from lipo's being charged unattended or being charged wrong. to me its like saying a nicad charger charges voltage and current so that should be fine for lipo's, BANG!
to late to change your mind when it happens.
so I prefer to charge the recommended way to be safe.

If I have 2 4ah 3s batteries and a 6a charger I can charge in parallel and charge 2 in 150% of the time or using a serial rig to charge both packs as a 6s.
I prefer to time my flights and try to land with about 10-15% capacity left in the Lipo. I guess 10v would be a good voltage for a Lipo alarm though.

Lipos should only be charged at the recommended charge rate and it's dangerous to charge them too fast. I have some that can be charged at 5C, but I usually charge at 1C 1in every 5 charges and it seems to keep my packs healthy.

I would charge them in series using an adapter that converts a 6s balance port into 2 x 3s balance ports. Charging in series like this is much more likely to result in a fire if there's a problem, so be extra vigilant when charging.

I'm sure you're already aware of how dangerous Lipos can be, but it's worth mentioning again that you shouldn't ever leave them unattended when charging and charge them away from anything flammable and once charged store them in a Lipo safe bag or similar.

don't rush out to fly... Every time you spool up, even if you never even take off there are risks.
If it doesn't behave as expected, don't throttle up to see if more power will help without first rechecking everything.

Whenever wiring up something new, always confirm there is no short.
Deburr metal frames. The last thing you need is an aluminum frame piercing a lipo or shorting a wire.

A large field is good for a start, but before any more range is attempted always range check the equipment.

I used to have range check on my pre-flight, but haven't found a good way of doing a range check with a multicopter.

Tie down, spool up to spinning and have someone drive away with the Tx?

With the KK board you could also have someone keep running the disarm stick movement while you move the multi away until it stops disarming.

I fly on my own most of the time, so no use for me. I decided that doing a range check was actually more dangerous than not doing one.

hi lovegroove, I have given up on the hk controller and bought a Rabbit with gps, and sonics ect. been in a flying unit and I have seen it perform. so if this dont work nothing will (for me that is).
awaiting arrival, should be next week.
