Hi guys.

Here are some pictures of my nose gear mount........yes I changed it again for the third time due to last minute decision to go with offset hinges instead of the stock (sorry having a blond moment).

In regards to the eflite 15-25 electric retracts, the stock main wire struts are plug and play if you use TamJet trinion upgrade.

In regards to the nose gear wire strut, the stock fits the eflite like it was made for it, but I went with the stock eflite one (just preference).

More pictures of the gear retracts

Would like to get some nice struts for it instead of the ST wire ones, I should see what Tam has for a replacement nose strut but the mains may have to stay wire due to there shape/bend.

the front wire will love to break that trunion. especially if you have to land with a lil rudder, ... the nose wheel will touch down turned and snap it. seen it a hundred times. better put on a tam strut, trailing link.

Next Im going to work on getting the ducts in, they fit excellent as you can tell by the pictures.

This weekend Im going to cut a new motor bulkhead (stronger one) since 120mm EDF units put out much more power now days then back when this plane was designed.

To finalize the duct install, I have to cut 5mm off the outer front lip leaving a projecting flange thats going to overlap the inside of the fuse (stay tuned for pics).

Too bad tam doesnt make alum front trinion gear, but you are right in regards to the trailing link.......will have to make it happen.

Men I love the color of the Kevlar, that mustardy color looks so cool

Can anybody tell me what they think of the TJ120 EDF unit as that may be an option I am considering for this plane.

Really need to order the fan unit.

Current unit options Im looking at:

1. TF4000 (what I had on the original Rafale I built a while back)
2. DS-94 HDT
3. TJ120

I will go with a Stumax 100 mm on 8- 10 cells much lighter setup. You are a talented builder the the new adaptor will de a piece of cake to build.
If you have the $$ the new HST 90 mm Schubeler with~mouth ~ on 12 cells .

If i had to build a new one i would go with the TF 4000 (Easy install and perfekt fitting) and a Dynamax Rotor Cut Down to 118mm from Tam :-)

I prefer to stay with a 120mm size unit.

Would like to have a 12cell setup but fly with a 10cell for lower amp draw (once an a while I would put a lighter 12cell battery for some extra excitement )

That could be an option but If I go this route I think I have a CS120 rotor clicking around somewhere.

BTW, what trailing struts did you use on yours??? (Saw yours on a pic on your profile......love the arctic camo).

A Tam Jets TJ120 would be insane if your Rafale! A PnP unit produces +13 pounds of thrust. You would have better then 1=1 thrust to weight ratio! A big price tag but not so big for a RTR edf unit. That would be awesome!
