Looks good and would be interested to see how this mirage 2000 would look with Israeli camouflage (too bad it's not a mirage 3)

i wanted a 3 so bad, but settled for the 2000. really there is no option for 90-120 size mirages. excluding a jhh, which is tons more work then then this one.

The only thing I'm not crazy about with the JHH mirage is the oversize intakes, the real mirage had small and slick intakes like the rest of the plane.

The mirage 3 in real life looks soooo sexy

Personally I would love to find a Mirage 3 kit that has a good scale line but on another note I would love to find a Byron Kfir kit (another one that's on my bucket list to build one day).

what type of glue did you use to glue the wooden frames inside the fueselage? and what type of glue do you use to glue wood to wood? i dont have a lot of balsa & composite building experience. i was thinking of using wood glue for wood to wood glueing, and epoxy, for wood to fiberglass. thanks. cant wait to see you maiden.

I used hysol glue for everything, but if cost is a problem for you then use epoxy.

Use 30min epoxy for wood to wood, as for wood to glass (like the bulkheads or gear sub-assy) I would glue using a mix of resin and micro balloon (tip: use a syringe to apply the mix for better control).

BTW, prior to gluing wood to composite, rough area with sand paper and clean with alcohol, it's very important.

So last night I got the vertical fin on.

The fin is not very stiff and got a bit of flex to it all due to no bulkheads in the rear fuse and the composite being so thin, Going to have to add some carbon to the inside of the rear fuse to stiffen things up.

She looks great, I have a bit more filling and sanding to get things perfect to my satisfaction and then it's paint.

I'm a little bit behind as I spent most of the holiday smoking churchill's and drinking Johnnie Walker.

Anyways, I finally finished with the priming with a few touch ups to go over.

Color is coming pretty soon.

BTW, any ideas of how to get paint into the ducts????

Wish I had one of those "honey I shrunk the kids" machines.

Still working on the finishing process, painting is time consuming (I have to admitt that I took a bit of a break to work on other things).

Should have pics next week hopefully once I feel satisfied with the painting finish.

same here for my mirage. im gonna prime it soon and then do the maiden before painting. Still got a few small things to get situated inside the fuse first.
