In post #1 says 2mm balsa covering, I guess everything else is ply and given the fact or normal kit building I will say 3mm thick.

hi pilots

today bring new pictures cad-work of second version L-39. Front, fuel tank and intake are from fiberglass. Plane is about 5 percent less, but designed specifically for
120mm edf. I hope for lighter weight and easier to build. Airfoil is MH32

Pekos,
One thing I learned from building my L-39 is that there is a bit of a weak spot on the fuse right ahead of the wing on the fuselage sides. If you land and hit the nose wheel up hard all that stress pulls along the side and bottom of fuse. Lots of tension in the sides and bottom, nothing on top to help in compression so it becomes a bit of a week point. Just some lite ply from the wing forward a few inches along the sides would really help.
