It's to bad Beacon don't sell to any lhs anymore. Tried to buy some like I did last year for the guys in the Toledo area but was told I needed to buy a full pallet. Now that people would be a mountain of Foam Tac.

Foam Tac and LHS

Hi Tom, just to let you know all that is changing, We at Beacon have reformulated the Foam-Tac to dry faster and last longer and the new Product should be ready to ship within a few short weeks. So for you and any other retailers out there that are interested in purchasing Foam-Tac, I am the new Account Execitive and you can contact me directly. Send all requests to my email address. Or shoot me a pm with your contact info.
I will be more than happy to assist you in getting Foam-Tac to your local hobby shop or to you if you are a retailer.

Thanks

beacon foam tac

These are my latest two builds with Beacon Foam-Tac.
Both are made of Depron foam.

I like to use Beacon Foam-Tac for a hinge on my EPP foam planes.
First cut your bevels on your foam pieces.
Them align them up and keep them stationary with pins or weights.
Next run a bead of foam-tac along the hinge line.
Take a gift card and smooth out the glue by dragging it at an angle across the hinge line.
Let it dry and your good to go.
Best part is repairs on a torn hinge can be done at the field.

very nice builds Dave!
just started on the polaris build

using MPF with FFF runners
heres the few pieces im waitting to harden befor i join em

blue strip is glued via 3m77

-pete

after 20-30ish min it held very strong! got both sides glued together and
working on wing now

10/3

glue wing in, foam tac is great , use it to glue all carbon fibers on i use to glue it using gorilla glue and always make a mess of things, now it a smooth tight joint!!!
also same for nose, i wonder how this will sand down? we will see once i glue on top and bottom fuselage

built up tail group with foam tac, holding nice and clean joints as well

only epoxy so far i use is to glue the tail group to the ply mount and use epoxy on the mount to the wing as it needs to be strong, dont want to chance it yet using foam tac till more use if it will hold the 2212-06 motor powering up the plane

Foam-Tac Contest

HI Guys, WOW!!!!

Wow this is what I'm talking about. You guys are awesome, I like them all so far going to be a tough decision to pick a winner. The WM parkflyer "MAKO" really rocks. Can't wait to see the Polaris when it's finished, and how about all those non-foam uses for Foam-Tac. You guys are very talented, keep the pix coming first winner to be announced next week. Don't get discouraged if you don't win this time as this is a monthly contest, and all previous non winning entries are still eligible for next months prize.

Thanks for the pics and good luck to you all

Regards

Eric G

all done!!!

i love this glue! before i had to let the gorilla glue foam up and harden somewhat before i can continue, with this, i think i shaved off about 6 hours of build time!!!

tuesday=4 hour
wednesday=2 1/12 hour

from cut ->glue->sand edges and nose to shape-> install eletronics(minus motor)->complete ready for maiden

now for those of you that dont know but this is polaris # 31 for me, from 50% up to 130% for me, not all for me, but for club members and friends. my fastest build was 11 hours using other glue, so this got it beat!!!

now to present this build to the new owner!!!!

thanks Eric for the glue, this is the best thing to happen for us foamie junkies!!!!
